The connector ramps from eastbound Interstate 8 to northbound state Route 163 and the ramp from southbound state Route 163 to eastbound Interstate 8 will be closed from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday, Caltrans reported Saturday.

The closures are needed so crews can perform needed electrical maintenance work, according to Caltrans.Eastbound motorists on Interstate 8 will be detoured to the Texas Street off-ramp, onto the westbound side of the interstate then to the northbound connector ramp to state Route 163.Those traveling on southbound state Route 163 should continue to the westbound Interstate 8 connector to the Taylor Street off-ramp then back onto eastbound Interstate 8.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
