Hundreds show up for open casting call at Coleman University for ABC's 'Shark Tank'

Entrepreneurs working to make it next round

SAN DIEGO - More than 500 San Diegans with entrepreneurial dreams each had one minute to pitch their ideas during an open audition for the ABC show "Shark Tank."

Among the crowd at Coleman University in Kearny Mesa on Saturday morning, 10News found body wipes, tablet holders and even decorative high-heeled shoes.

Bruce Lamb promoted his protective cases for instruments, focusing on performance.

"I'm kind of a show off when it comes to this stuff. People need to know about it," Lamb told 10News.

Others like Lowell Cohen used a calmer approach. He used models to present his custom-made T-shirts for kids.

Cohen said, "We make a child become anything they want to be. Once they put our shirts on they become the character of their choice."

10News found many hopefuls who slept in line overnight. The first person in line got there early Friday morning.
