SAN DIEGO - Authorities are trying to determine how a hot air balloon landed off course in the Fairbanks Ranch area.
The balloon landed in the 5800 block of Rancho Diegueno Road just after 5 p.m., according to sheriff's dispatchers.
Dispatchers said the balloon somehow managed to land off course, but did not crash.
No injuries were immediately reported.
