A hazardous materials team responded to the discovery of a body and a harmful chemical inside a car parked off a San Marcos-area roadway.

At about 2 p.m. Friday, authorities received reports of a man's body found inside a car off Elfin Forest Road near Camino Cielo Azul.Sheriff's officials said the unidentified man may have committed suicide, but the official cause of death has not yet been confirmed.A source told 10News the chemical is possibly hydrogen sulfide, which can be explosive.The Medical Examiner's Office will retrieve the body after hazmat workers conclude their investigation.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
