SAN DIEGO - Hazmat crews with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department's Metro Arson Strike Team are on the scene of an apartment fire in North Park.
The fire was reported at a three-story apartment building in the 3000 block of Suncrest Drive at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Crews had the fire out within about 30 minutes.
Firefighters used the ladder to rescue one woman from an apartment on the third floor. Several people were treated for medical conditions.
Residents 10News spoke with reported hearing a loud boom before the fire started. The cause is under investigation.
Three families were displaced due to the fire. The Red Cross is helping the displaced residents find a place to stay.
