SAN DIEGO - A harbor seal pup that washed ashore in Mission Beach was rescued early Sunday morning.
Someone who spotted the seal at around 11:30 p.m. reported it to police, according to the San Diego Police Watch Commander.
A police sergeant personally drove to Sea World and got someone to come out and rescue the pup.
The seal was taken to SeaWorld at around 1:30 a.m.
It's believed the pup was just a couple of days old.
On Saturday, authorities in Pacific Beach say they found one sea lion pup dead against a seawall and an injured pup nearby.
The San Diego Police Department said the dead sea lion was discovered at around 7:40 a.m. on the seawall near Verona Court., while the injured pup was found near Zanzabar Court and Santa Rita Place.
Area lifeguards responded to scene and said they called SeaWorld for assistance to help the injured pup.
