A gunman wearing a red and black mask robbed a 7- Eleven convenience store in Lemon Grove early Tuesday, authorities said.

The robbery at 1498 Jamacha Road was reported just after 2 a.m., according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Victor Rivera.The robber pointed a black handgun at a clerk and demanded cash, the sergeant said in a statement. The clerk complied and the gunman fled on foot, he said, noting the clerk chased after the robber, who got away.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
