Thieves strike Sorrento Valley store; glasses, watches, Red Bull drink stolen

Burglary at 9833 Pacific Heights Blvd

SAN DIEGO - San Diego police said someone broke into a motorsports store in Sorrento Valley Wednesday morning and took expensive glasses, some watches and an energy drink.

The owner of WholesaleMX.COM, Derrick Ryel, told 10News this is the second time thieves have hit his store. In both cases, he said the thieves entered by breaking the glass front door, and then they grab expensive items.

Both times, the thieves also end their spree by grabbing a Red Bull energy drink.

Police said Wednesday's break-in occurred at 4:12 a.m. at 9833 Pacific Heights Blvd.

Ryel said the last time his business was hit was about six months ago, and two other businesses were also broken into.

He's hoping the manager of the complex will do something about security concerns.

Officers are reviewing surveillance video from the business to help identify the culprits.
