Last Updated: 91 days ago
SAN DIEGO - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $3.86, the eighth increase in 10 days.
The average price is 1.8 cents more than one week ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
However, it is 12.9 cents less than one month ago and 29.8 cents lower than one year ago, thanks to a stretch of 33 decreases in 34 days that ended Aug. 27.
Wholesale prices have gone up in the last several days to about the same level they were a month ago, according the AAA
Middle East tensions have caused an increase in oil prices and that's likely the primary reason behind the increases, according to Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
