SAN DIEGO - The average price of a gallon of self-serve unleaded gasoline is at its lowest level since December 28th of last year in San Diego.

The average price has gone down 70 of the past 72 days, dropping $1.13 during that time, according to AAA and Oil Price Information Services.

Figures show a gallon of gas went down 7 cents less than one week ago and 20 cents less than one month ago.

The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.59.

A spokesperson for AAA says November, December and January are typically the months with the

lowest gas prices because demand is typically down during the holidays.
