SAN DIEGO - Authorities Monday afternoon worked to fix a gas line that ruptured at a vacated restaurant in Mission Valley.

Shortly before 3 p.m., authorities said a construction crew accidentally broke a gas line while working in the building formerly occupied by Chevy's restaurant on 1202 Camino Del Rio North.

Authorities said two businesses west of the former restaurant site were closed due to the break.

A portion of Camino Del Rio North near Mission Center road was also closed in both directions while crews work to repair the line.

Crews were able to repair the line at about 6 p.m.

No evacuations were ordered, according to authorities.
