SAN DIEGO - Gang detectives Tuesday investigated the shooting of a 49-year-old woman in Mountain View.
The woman was walking in the 300 block of Southlook Avenue when she was approached by two young men wearing black hoodies about 10 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
One of the men pulled out a gun and shot the woman in her neck before he and his accomplice got into a dark, low-riding sedan, he said in a statement.
"The wound suffered is not considered to be life-threatening," Delimitros said.
The motive for the shooting was unclear, though gang detectives were investigating, according to the officer.
