Free entry to San Diego Botanic Garden for active duty military in August

SAN DIEGO - As a "thank you" to U.S. military servicemen and women, the San Diego Botanic Garden is offering free admission to all active-duty military personnel and their families for the month of August.

Garden officials say guests can show their active military ID cards (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserve) at the Welcome Center to gain free entry.

The Botanic Garden is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located on 230 Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas.
