Former porn star brings controversial billboard to San Diego: Ad evokes Manti Te'o hoax

Billboard located on Clairemont Mesa Blvd.

SAN DIEGO - A "sugardaddy" dating website's billboard, featuring a former porn star and ex-girlfriend of actor Charlie Sheen, is now on display in San Diego.

The billboard evoking the infamous "catfishing" scandal surrounding Chargers rookie linebacker Manti Te'o is located on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and advertises for ArrangementFinders.com.

On the ad, former porn star Bree Olson holds a football and has eye black on her face.  The billboard asks, "Tired of fake girlfriends?"

Olson is widely known for her past relationship with Sheen, who referred to her as one of his live-in "goddesses."

The company says the ad evokes the bizarre hoax involving Te'o and an online girlfriend he never met and who did not exist. The story put Te'o into the national spotlight.

According to a press release from the company, the website's Chief Marketing Officer A.J. Perkins hopes "the billboard will capture the attention of the thousands of aspirational young women living in San Diego, as well as all the wealthy men hoping to make arrangements with them."

Arrangement Finders connects "successful executives and men" with young women looking for a "mutually beneficial arrangement," according to its website.

The company has put up similar controversial advertisements around the country.
