SAN DIEGO - Firefighters extinguished a small fire that broke out Friday in a bathroom at Bell Middle School, a fire dispatcher said.

The blaze on the Briarwood Road campus near Paradise Valley Road was reported at 8:11 a.m., according to a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher. The non-injury fire was reported knocked down at 8:24 a.m., he said.

Investigators were called in to look into what caused the fire, the dispatcher said.
