SAN DIEGO - A fire that damaged a business in the Midway District on Sunday has been ruled accidental.
Firefighters had the blaze at 3681 Sports Arena Blvd. knocked down 18 minutes after it was reported at 2:13 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire Rescue Department.
10News learned a transient was trying to cook food when he set fire to the vacant back building, which was under renovation to be a veterinary clinic this winter.
Investigators say most of the damage is on the outside of the building. Damage has been estimated at about $75,000.
No injuries were reported.
