SAN DIEGO - Firefighters on Sunday have contained a fire in the Sports Arena area.

The incident was reported at about 5 p.m. at Fleet Welding in the 3500 block of Hancock Street, near Kurtz Street.

10News learned Hazmat crews were called to the scene because there were chemicals inside. It is unclear what those chemicals are.

By about 6 p.m., crews had contained the fire, though smoke was still seen coming from the second floor of the building.

It is unclear what caused it.

More information about the incident will be posted as it becomes available.
