Crews on Tuesday are working to repair a fire hydrant in Chula Vista after it was struck by a car.
The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Broadway at about 11:30 a.m.
According to Chula Vista police, a vehicle had electrical problems and began rolling backwards. A man tried to jump into the vehicle to stop it, but the vehicle hit a parked car that had a door open.
An elderly woman was standing outside of the car. She bumped her head and suffered minor injuries.
The woman's car then struck the fire hydrant. Crews were able to turn off the water shortly after and were working to repair the hydrant.
No other injuries were reported.
