Fire engulfs an Encinitas home leaving 3 people homeless

SAN DIEGO; Calif - A fire broke out Sunday morning in a home on the 1000 block of Golden Road in Encinitas.
According to the Encinitas Fire Department, the fire started around 10:00 a.m. in a small attached room and was put out before it spread to the rest of the home.
The couple and their six month old baby were not home at the time of the fire.
The Encinitas Fire Department estimates the total damage to be around 6000 dollars.
No word yet what caused the fire.
