A house that appeared to be abandoned caught fire Saturday near Mount Hope Cemetery, according to San Diego fire officials.

Crews were called out about 12:50 p.m. to the house at 12 South 35th Street and arrived to find it fully engulfed in flames, a San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said.The fire caused the roof to partially collapse and the 28 firefighters who were working to extinguish the blaze could only do so from outside the structure, the dispatcher said.The fire spread from the house to some surrounding brush, the dispatcher said.No injuries were reported, he said.
