The blaze in the 1100 block of Industrial Boulevard in Chula Vista erupted shortly after 11 a.m., said Jim Garcia, deputy chief of the city's fire department.

It took crews about 15 minutes to subdue the flames, which destroyed the single-wide trailer, Garcia said. No one was in the mobile home when the fire began spreading, though a resident had left a few minutes earlier, according to Garcia.

Investigators set the monetary losses at about $30,000 to the trailer and $10,000 to contents.
