Fire crews rescue woman trapped under flipped car

SAN DIEGO - Crews rescued a woman trapped because her hair got caught after a rollover crash in Kearny Mesa, authorities said Friday.

10News learned the crash happened at 2:47 a.m. on north Interstate 805 south of Balboa Avenue.

The woman was trapped because her hair got caught underneath the car, 10 News learned.

Crews used the Jaws of Life to free the woman by 3:10 a.m.

She was taken to a nearby hospital and was expected to survive.

According to a dispatcher with the California Highway Patrol, the woman was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.
