Students at an Alpine middle school were asked to stay indoors as crews investigated a report of a gas leak Wednesday.

The gas leak was reported at around 10 a.m. near Old Highway 80 and Dunbar Lane in Alpine.

Heartland Fire & Rescue crews responded to the location and were conducting an investigation.

Nearby Los Coches Creek Middle School was notified about the leak report and students were kept inside.
