Female Motorcyclist Hurt In SR-52 Crash

A female motorcyclist was hospitalized late Tuesday night after she collided with a pickup truck on state Route 52.

The crashed occurred around 9 p.m. on eastbound SR-52 just west of Mast Boulevard.According to a law enforcement agent who witnessed the crash, both the pickup truck and the motorcyclist changed lanes at the same time and into each other.The woman was knocked from the bike and onto the shoulder of the freeway.When paramedics arrived, the woman was classified as a major trauma and transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital.The driver of the truck was given a routine DUI test, but at this time police do not believe alcohol was involved.Both the driver and the passenger of the truck were uninjured in the crash.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
