FBI looks for Escondido bank robber

ESCONDIDO - A bearded man in jeans used a demand note this afternoon to rob a bank at Trafalgar Square Shopping Center.
The thief, who appeared to be in his late 40s to early 50s, handed the message to a teller at the Bank of America branch office in the 1300 block of East Valley Parkway in Escondido about 1:45 p.m., according to the FBI.
After the clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, the bandit fled the area on foot to the west.
Witnesses described him as a roughly 5-foot-6-inch, 170-pound white man with light-brown facial hair and a tattoo on his right forearm. He was wearing jeans, a gray-blue short-sleeve shirt, blue-and-white tennis shoes and a dark-blue baseball cap, the FBI reported.
