The wedding was hours from taking place on May 27 when the jewelry that the bride and wedding party were supposed to wear disappeared. The woman whose family owns the jewelry, Hangameh Mousavi, told 10News, "In the Iranian culture, it's tradition to give the bride jewelry, so that's why all the jewelry was in there."The jewelry was in a CD wallet carrying case stuffed with rare antique Iranian pendants, bracelets, earrings and coins. A family member was taking the jewelry from the hotel lobby up to a room. On the elevator, she noticed the case was missing.A review of hotel surveillance video has turned up nothing. San Diego Harbor Police are now investigating. The family told 10News in the meantime they will scour Internet sites such as Craigslist and eBay to see if any of the items show up there.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
