Ex-Charger Shawn Lee, 44, Passes Away

Former Defensive Lineman Becomes 5th Member Of 1994-95 Super Bowl Team To Die

Former San Diego Chargers defensive lineman Shawn Lee passed away over the weekend at the age of 44.

According to team officials, Lee died Saturday in Raleigh, N.C.

The cause of his death is still unknown.

Lee played 87 games for the Chargers from 1992 to 1997, and was part of the team's 1995 Super Bowl squad.

Lee is the fifth player from the Super Bowl team to die. Chris Mims, Rodney Culver, David Griggs and Doug Miller are the other players.

In addition to the Chargers, Lee played for Tampa Bay, Miami and Chicago.
