OCEANSIDE, Calif. - A 25-year-old man who somehow escaped from Theo Lacy Jail in Orange County was captured Saturday at a motel in Oceanside.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department said Saith Na was located about 5:30 a.m. and taken into custody without incident.
"Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff's Department followed up on information that Na was in the Oceanside area," according to a department statement.
Na was discovered missing Friday during a routine body count at the Theo Lacy jail, said Gail Krause of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
He was scheduled to go on trial March 12 on charges of possession of a gun by a felon, possessing a gun on school grounds, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and street terrorism, all felonies, according to court records.
He also faces sentencing enhancement allegations of street activity.
