USGS: 3.5 Quake rattles near Indio

SAN DIEGO - The U.S. Geological Survey reports that an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5 struck near Indio, Calif., Sunday afternoon.
According to the USGS website, the quake struck at 12:14 p.m. about 86 miles from San Diego.
There were no reports of any damage.
