ESCONDIDO, Calif. - Two men  managed to walk away after a violent and fiery crash on north Interstate 15 in Escondido Friday.

The crash occurred just after 2 a.m. near 9th Street.

California Highway Patrol officers said a Honda Civic slammed into a second car, causing the first vehicle to burst into flames.

Firefighters arrived at scene to find the car fully engulfed by flames.

10News learned that officers arrested both drivers. The driver of the Honda Civic is being charged with felony DUI because the second driver did sustain minor injuries. 

Crews were able to clear the crash scene and as of 6 a.m. traffic was flowing on I-15.
