LA MESA, Calif. -- Police and deputies are searching for a man who crashed into patrol car in La Mesa and fled Thursday morning.
The incident occurred before 6 a.m. on Amaya Court, when La Mesa police officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers arrested the female driver. However, while they were trying to apprehend her male passenger, he jumped into the driver’s seat and peeled out.
According to police, the man struck a patrol vehicle and another car before escaping. There were no injuries.
The exact circumstances that led up to the woman’s arrest were not immediately confirmed.
