San Diego police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who rear-ended an off-duty police officer.

According to 10News, the officer was driving home from the Mid-City police substation around midnight Friday and was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Fairmont and Orange.He glanced in his rear view mirror, saw a car coming fast and attempted to move his 2009 Ford Mustang GT out of the way.The officers Mustang was hit and the officer watched the suspect vehicle speed off eastbound down Orange away from the scene.The officer describes the car as a late-model silver Honda with damage to the front left fender and bumper.The officer was not injured.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
