SAN DIEGO - A local radio talk show host will be out with recall leaders at a drive-thru event Friday afternoon to help collect signatures, in the effort to get Mayor Bob Filner out of office.
San Diego City Council is set to vote on a settlement deal that could lead to Filner's resignation Friday, but recall leaders and Bob "Sully" Sullivan are working for more signatures in case the deal falls through.
The event is a petition signing drive-thru at KOGO's radio station from noon to 4 p.m., so people don't even have to get out of their cars.
Sullivan will be broadcasting his midday show live from the station's parking lot, which will include interviews with recall leaders, including Michael Pallamary, the chief organizer. He also will interview people driving through to sign the recall petition.
KOGO studios are located at 9660 Granite Ridge Drive, near I-15 and Aero Drive.
