SAN DIEGO - San Diego police and California Highway Patrol officers arrested 11 suspected drunken drivers at or near a downtown checkpoint that wrapped up early Saturday.

Between 11:07 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m., 932 vehicles passed through the checkpoint in the 1500 block of Fifth Avenue near Beech Street, of which 652 were screened, according to San Diego police Officer Mark McCullough.
