GovX.com is the first and only website dedicated to giving the U.S. military and its related government agencies the best discounts to various items -- from jewelry to tactical gear.

"They can be … anywhere from 25 to 45 percent off the retail price," said GovX co-founder Shannon Van Buskirk.

Only military, law enforcement and first responders are allowed to sign up for the service.

"San Diego is one of the biggest military towns in the U.S.," added co-founder Tony Farwell. "We serve all the military throughout the United States and those that are deployed overseas, as well as those who serve and protect our communities."

"If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't live in the great country that we live in," said Mark Van Buskirk, co-founder and CEO of GovX.

To sign up, users visit website, choose their correct type of service and provide a military or government email address.

Cal Fire firefighter Chris Hull uses the site, and he told 10News, "I appreciate that they would put together something for us and allow us to utilize the resource."

The website launched in October, and the company is looking at a projected 100,000 registered users by spring.
