SAN DIEGO - A dense fog advisory issued for the San Diego area has expired.
The advisory was issued Friday afternoon and expired at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The fog made for dangerous driving conditions for holiday shoppers and flight delays at San Diego's Lindbergh Field and other county airports for those wrapping up holiday visits on Friday evening.
As of 6:40 p.m. Friday, all Southwest Airlines flights in and out of Lindbergh Field have been canceled. Early Saturday, six Southwest flights were also canceled due to poor visibility.
However, as of 8 a.m. Saturday, there were only four delays for departures and only two delays for arrivals.
