Crews knock down fire at La Mesa apartment complex

LA MESA, Calif. -
Firefighters on Saturday knocked down a two-alarm fire at a La Mesa apartment complex.
The fire was reported just after 8:45 a.m. at a complex in the 8200 block of Vincetta Drive, according to Heartland Fire & Rescue. The blaze was knocked down about 30 minutes later.
At least one unit was damaged by the fire. No one was inside the unit at the time.
Nearby residents were evacuated. No injuries were reported.
There is no word on the cause of the fire.
