Crews knock down Chula Vista apartment fire

CHULA VISTA - Fire crews knocked down a blaze at a two-story apartment complex in Chula Vista Thursday.
The incident was reported at 8:59 a.m. in the 1300 block of Santa Ynez Avenue.
Flames and smoke were reported from the first floor. It is unclear what caused the fire but initial reports indicate that flames were contained to one apartment unit.
The fire was put out by 9:15 a.m.
Officials said that three people living in the apartment unit were displaced by the fire.
