Crews knock down brush fire off SR-52 in Tierrasanta

Fire burned 110 acres

SAN DIEGO - Firefighters have knocked down a 110-acre brush fire along the SR-52 near Santo Road.

The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m., according to a San Diego Fire-Rescue dispatcher.

 The fire prompted the closure of the Santo Road on-ramp to east SR-52.

All trails at Mission Trails Regional Park will be closed Monday, except the Cowles Mountain trail.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital and treated for heat exhaustion, SDFRD spokesman
