Fire broke out near Border Field State Park

SAN DIEGO - Crews extinguished a small brush fire burning near Border Field State Park in the South Bay.
The fire was reported shortly before 6:15 p.m. near the park, which is on 1500 Monument Road and near the U.S.-Mexico border.
Dispatchers said helicopter drops were used, because of where the fire was located.
No structures were threatened and no injuries have been reported.
The fire has burned 1/3 of an acre before being put out around 7:55 p.m., according to dispatchers.
