Crash prompts northbound Interstate 15 lane closures

SAN DIEGO - All northbound Interstate 15 lanes at Auto Park Way in Escondido were shut down following a crash involving at least two vehicles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. when the vehicles were merging.
The crash prompted authorities to shut down all lanes on northbound I-15 as crews responded to the scene.
Just before 6 p.m., authorities re-opened all lanes, but traffic on northbound I-15 remained backed up at least four miles.
