SAN DIEGO - The eastbound lanes on the Coronado Bay Bridge were briefly shut down Monday afternoon due to a multi-vehicle crash.
The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Injuries were reported, but the severity was not disclosed.
CHP officials said traffic was being diverted away from the bridge for the clean-up effort. Drivers were urged to either wait for the incident to be cleared or use the Silver Strand.
The crash scene was cleared at about 5:05 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
