Sorrento Valley Road will be closed in both directions at Interstate 805, along with the onramps and offramps at Mira Mesa Boulevard-Sorrento Valley Road, beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, Caltrans officials said.

Construction crews will be prepping the area as part of the I-805 Caroll Canyon Project. The closure was expected to last until 5 a.m. Monday, the officials said.Motorists were advised to avoid the area, although those with work identification cards from Scripps Business services or Websense will be escorted through the closure if deemed safe, according to Caltrans.Copyright Do you have more information about this story?
