SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The SR-15 will get more biker friendly Wednesday, once state and local officials open new commuter bikeways to cyclists.
The bikeway will run parallel to SR-15. The commuter bikeway will create safer and more convenient connections between Mid-City, City Heights and the Mission Valley, according to traffic officials.
The project is a joint effort between Caltrans, SANDAG and the City of San Diego.
A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the bikeway's entrance at Adams Avenue near Terrance Drive Mini Park.
