RANCHO SAN DIEGO - Community members will hold a vigil Wednesday in memory of a Steele Canyon High student who died in a car crash.
The vigil, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Rancho San Diego school, will honor Julian Fraire. Julian died last Thursday when he crashed head-on with a pickup truck on Steele Canyon Road. The fatal accident later prompted community members to demand road barriers.
A memorial fund was also created in memory of the 16-year-old boy. Contributions can be dropped off at any Mission Federal Credit Union branch or SCHS for the Julian Fraire Memorial Fund.
