Closures for Thanksgiving holiday

Libraries, rec centers, swimming pools closed

SAN DIEGO - San Diego city libraries, recreation centers and swimming pools will be closed, but the Miramar Landfill will operate on a normal Thursday schedule and municipal golf courses will remain open, as will the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitors Center. Trash collection will be delayed one-day.

County of San Diego offices, libraries and animal shelters will be closed Thursday and Friday, reopening Saturday. County parks will remain open, but community centers in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley will not.

Metropolitan Transit System buses and trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule. No express or premium bus routes will operate today, except for Express Route 20, which will run on a Sunday schedule. Regular MTS schedules will resume Friday.

The North County Transit District will operate its buses and trains on a Sunday/holiday schedule.

The Coaster train will offer four southbound and four northbound runs, but the Sorrento Valley and Carlsbad-Poinsettia stations will be shut down. The Sprinter train will run every half-hour.

The NCTD will resume regular service on Friday.
