SAN DIEGO - Clairemont Mesa residents are expressing frustration with the city after it failed to address a report of flowing water.
Residents says a steady stream of water has been flowing down their street on Jutland and Jemez drives for five days.
"It's water that's wasted," said Dave Lester, who said the water continually flows and wraps around his entire block. ”There’s also water coming off of that block that’s running too. That’s a lot of wasted water.”
Lester said the city should be more responsible amid the state drought watch.
Residents said they've made several calls to the city but nothing has happened.
A spokesperson for the city of San Diego Public Utilities Department said they first heard about the problem from 10News. The spokesperson said the department would investigate the issue Thursday evening.
Councilwoman Lorie Zapf, who represents the area, did not respond to requests for comment.
