Chula Vista police release sketch of serial flasher

CHULA VISTA, Calif. - Chula Vista police Thursday released a composite sketch of a male suspected in a string of indecent exposure incidents in the Winding Walk area.

According to police, there have been at least four separate reported incidents, and in each case, the male has appeared fully naked and often asked for clothing.

Witnesses reported that they "saw the man fully clothed just before or shortly after being confronted while he was naked."

The suspected flasher is described as a Hispanic male, 16 to 20 years old, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 120 to 145 pounds.

Police and community leaders have passed around flyers in the neighborhood, and police "have used female police decoys in an attempt to catch the suspect in the act."

"Some witnesses have explained that they didn't call because they thought it was a prank or that the subject was intoxicated. They should know that this is not a prank and police would like to be contacted to investigate," police said.

Police urge anyone who is confronted by the person to call 911. Anyone with information on a possible suspect is encouraged to contact Chula Vista police at 619-691-5151 or Det. Glover at 619-691-5190.
