SAN DIEGO - The California Highway Patrol has lifted a SigAlert for eastbound Interstate 8 at Mission Gorge Road after a multi-car crash Sunday.
Officers said a Mercury Sable was heading onto I-8 eastbound from the Mission Gorge Road roundabout when the driver lost control, spun into oncoming freeway traffic, and hit a truck at around 2:47 p.m..
Firefighters had to take off the roof and the doors of the Sable using the Jaws of Life in order to pull a man and woman out of the car.
The truck had a mother and her three kids inside -- one child was a 6-month-old in a car seat.
10News has learned that all six people suffered injuries and were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
All lanes have reopened.
