CARLSBAD, Calif. - A man was stabbed in Carlsbad Tuesday by two acquaintances who were later arrested, police said.
The stabbing in the area of Las Flores Drive and Pio Pico Drive occurred sometime before 2:30 a.m., according to Carlsbad police, who were notified of the incident after the victim got himself to a hospital.
Police interviewed the victim and identified two suspects -- 19-year-old Drew Davidson and 20-year-old Dylan Maldonado, both of Carlsbad.
Davidson was tracked down and arrested in the 6500 block of Paseo Frontera about 3:20 a.m. while Maldonado was found in the 2300 block of Cipriano Lane and arrested at 7:45 a.m., CPD Lt. Matt Magro said.
The victim knows both alleged assailants, he said, adding that the motive for the attack was under investigation.
The victim was treated at the hospital and released, according to Magro.
